Ezekiel 38 and 39: The Scriptural Battle: God Verses Gog and Magog
- (Chapter Three - Pages 52 - 86). Ezekiel 38:5 -7 - Old Testament "TYPES" of the Corporate Church as they Relate to the Gog/Magog Battle

July 6, 2010 UPDATE
Chapter Three of our study The Scriptural Battle: God Versus Gog and Magog will be Online shortly, the Lord willing. Thank you for your patience. These are difficult chapters and require much time in the Word. We feel that the present days in which we find ourselves are most extremely urgent, for it is quite possible that the Lord will sound the Seventh Trumpet at any day now, regardless of what others within the corporate and organized churches are saying. Some will tell you that after the Seventh Trumpet sounds, if you miss it not to worry, you will have seven years in which to prepare for Christs final return. False doctrine! Others will tell you that the Seventh Trumpet (the catching away and receiving of the saints into eternity) cannot and will not occur until specific literal events transpire first.

But we must shout NOW that the Seventh Trumpet may finally be about to sound!

Matthew 24:37-40 -

37 - But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 - For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 - And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Christ clearly indicates here that the world will be in its normal usual state when He appears to catch up His true Church. In all likelihood the world will not be in the process of undergoing catastrophic convulsions, as many are teaching, but as in the days of Noah the world continued as usual until the very DAY that Noah entered into the ark. Many or even most passages that one reads of in the Book of Revelation - that appear to the world as being literal in nature - are actually highly symbolic with meanings that are hidden from the world, including the masses within the global corporate church! Therefore they are watching for literal events to transpire which will then give them perhaps a real urgency in their hearts. This will never do, for they are harboring deception!

We are discovering more and more hidden treasures in the Old Testament that speak of this precise time in which we now find ourselves.

Ezekiel 38:17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

"But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world." (Galatians 6:14)

Spiritual Bible Studies holds to the truth of Holy Scripture in that the one true God is indeed the Messiah - The Christ. He is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; these three are the one TRIUNE God, 1 John 5:7. Why do we call this site Spiritual Bible Studies, some may ask? What is wrong with simply giving it a name and omitting the word spiritual? We feel it is important to retain spiritual in our name, after all the New Testament uses the word spiritual in twenty-two separate verses.

Scripture speaks of spiritual gifts, Romans 1:11, 1 Corinthians 12:1, 1 Corinthians 14:1,12; the spiritual Law, Roman 7:14; Gentiles also partakers of spiritual things, Romans 15:27, 1 Corinthians 9:11; comparing spiritual with spiritual in our studies, 1 Corinthians 2:13; the natural man cannot discern spiritual truths, 1 Corinthians 2:14, while he that is spiritual can, 1 Corinthians 2:15; babes in Christ will have a slow process in spiritual things, 1 Corinthians 3:1; spiritual meat, 1 Corinthians 10:3; spiritual drink, 1 Corinthians 10:4; the spiritual rock, 1 Corinthians 10:4; spiritual body, 1 Corinthians 15:44; the natural comes before the spiritual, 1 Corinthians 15:46; the spiritual believer, 1 Corinthians 14:37, Galatians 6:1; spiritual blessings, Ephesians 1:3 ; spiritual songs, Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16; spiritual wickedness, Ephesians 6:12; spiritual understanding, Colossians 1:9; believers are a spiritual house, 1 Peter 2:5; believers offer up spiritual sacrifices, 1 Peter 2:5.

Hebrews 6:1 - 3
1 - Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2 - Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3 - And this will we do, if God permit.

We must be careful in teaching this and not give the impression of leaving or ignoring the basic doctrines of Christ in pursuit of deep spiritual matters. God forbid! It is the basic doctrines of Christ that propel us into further deeper study of His Word. Please consider the following reference:

Hebrews 5:12-14
12 - For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 - For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 - But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The term strong meat in the Greek is defined as nourishment (literally or figuratively). In the account of the woman of Samaria at Jacob's well we read that Christ's disciples had gone into the city to buy meat. Upon their return Jesus told them that He had meat to eat that they knew nothing of, John 4:32. The disciples talked among themselves and wondered who had brought food to him. Christ responded to them in John 4:32: My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." Christ was clearly spiritualizing, was He not? When Christ explained to the disciples that they must eat His flesh and drink His blood, they were confused and did not immediately understand the spiritual nature of His words. Jesus stated that His flesh was the bread that came down from heaven, John 6:58. We must eat of His flesh and drink of His blood. His disciples murmured and said that it was a hard saying, while the Jews of that area asked how he can give us his flesh to eat, John 6:52. Scripture is packed with symbols, parables, types, metaphors, and allegories. These are the priceless nuggets of scripture, which are of eternal value. What treasure could possibly be worth more? Christ states in John 5:39: Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Christ was teaching that all of scripture is in reference to Himself; Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
